Profile

Isobel Lewis is a speech pathologist working in Launceston and the Midlands. Isobel provides assessment and therapy for children and young adults, who experience communication difficulties.

Isobel is passionate about working with children of all ages and their families. Isobel has extensive experience in working with special needs including children and young adults with diagnosis of Autism, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Intellectual Disability.  Isobel has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom in school and clinic environments.

Isobel is a Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and participates in their Professional Self-Regulation Program. Isobel  is the mentoring coordinator for the Tasmanian Branch of Speech Pathology Australia and a mentor for new graduates in Tasmania.  She has also used her expertise by serving as a clinical supervisor to graduate students from interstate universities.  Isobel believes in the importance of sharing her knowledge with clinicians new to the field.

She is also a lifelong learner in the field and dedicated to keeping her professional knowledge up to date by completing continuing education workshops and courses each year.  Isobel is committed to providing the highest possible level of care to clients.
Isobel is trained in the following courses: PECS, Lidcombe, Smooth Speech, Hanen It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words and she is registered with NDIS, HCWA and Better Start.
